Position Summary and Responsibilities:
Process full cycle payroll including benefit administration for a diverse range of Mulrooney & Associates Incorporated Corporation customers
Process payroll and journal posting in both Simply Accounting and QuickBooks for remittances and benefits
Direct deposit payroll and reporting through electronic funds transfer system
Transfer of funds and reconciliation of bank trust accounts
Process and issue ROE’s – WebROE and manually
Process WSIB remittances and annual reconciliations
Process year end T4’s, summaries and reconciliations
Liaise with government bodies for customer accounts
Manage customer contact and communications with regards to all payroll issues and inquiries
Review payroll processes and streamline procedures

Qualifications:
Fluent in English – both written and verbal
Minimum of 3 year’s direct experience in a payroll role
Post secondary certificate/degree in payroll or equivalent
Strong knowledge and understanding of the payroll standards legislation including Employment Standards, Revenue Canada Guidelines, EI, EHT, and WSIB
Knowledge and experience in Easy Pay payroll software
Knowledge of payroll and basic bookkeeping in Sage50 and QuickBooks
Experience in Benefits Administration an asset
Knowledge of electronic funds transfer systems an asset
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, 365, Outlook, Dropbox and Google Drive
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Ability to work independently, motivated and confident
Strong problem solving skills
Acceptance of no less than full accuracy and finest detail
Exemplary people skills - communication, customer and colleague relations, and the ability to engage with a diverse network

Salary commensurate with experience
