Our Sales Managers are located in regionally-based centres across Canada, ensuring first-hand knowledge of the local market. Purpose of Job:

Champion CIBC's vision of being "The Leader in Client Relationships" and support achievement of goals by: understanding and staying abreast of changes in clients' industries, businesses, and objectives as they relate to the treasury/cash management function. Providing overall leadership and direction to a specialized team of cash management sales professionals (Senior Managers, Managers, and Associates responsible for supporting and growing the Cash Management portfolio of clients located in South-West Ontario). Provide leadership, information and consistent messaging across the portfolio of clients. Provide direct coverage over an aligned portfolio of clients (mid-market) with high levels of complexity. Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal partners to increase engagement and co-ordinated calling efforts.

Supporting the vision of Global Transaction Banking by delivering to our clients superior cash management solutions that simplify and enhance their working capital management.

What You'll Be Doing


  • Provide leadership to Cash Management Sales Senior Managers, Managers and Associates based in South-West Ontario
  • Provide direct coverage and manage a portfolio of high value complex cash management clients
  • Mentor and coach staff formally and informally through collaborative teamwork both within and across teams
  • Design and implement short and long term strategies to meet business growth and revenue targets
  • Responsible for developing new client relationships and expanding existing relationships
  • Responsible for the growth of the (individual and South-West Ontario) Cash Management portfolio based on established guidelines, and overall National strategy
  • Ensure adequate profitability thresholds are met
  • Negotiate pricing agreements/contracts with clients
  • Build strong relationships with internal partners and develop network of COIs
  • Gather, maintain and distribute competitive market feedback on products and pricing
  • Develop presentations and proposals in response to opportunities
What We're Looking For


  • Bachelor's Degree in Commerce or Business Administration
  • Minimum 5-10 years' experience in a relationship management and/or sales position, preferably in a treasury/cash management role
  • Experience managing a team
  • Strong sales discipline with evidence of past success
  • Experience working with commercial and or large corporate clients
  • Well-developed communication and negotiating skills
  • Good understanding of business and financial concepts to effectively articulate the cash management value proposition, as it relates to the impact on financial statements
  • Sound knowledge of credit and credit risk concepts to understand, articulate, and comply with bank standards as it relates to cash management products
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
