Working inconjunction with the Investment Advisor (IA), you will address the needs ofCIBC Wood Gundy clients by providing comprehensive estate planning solutionsthrough incorporating financial planning services and recommending solutions in the areas ofestate planning, retirement income, succession planning and other corporateneeds and philanthropy. You will also provide ongoing servicing of allinsurance products (except segregated funds) held by the CIBC Wood Gundyclients for which they are responsible.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Develop andmaintain a portfolio of insurance clients with a focus on financial and estateplanning

  • Work withInvestment Advisors, clients and prospects to analyze and identify insuranceneeds using appropriate products, planning methods and tools

  • Motivate theInvestment Advisors to assess and evaluate the appropriateness of lifeinsurance products to meet CIBC Wood Gundy's clients' financial and estateplanning objectives

  • Develop thecapability of all assigned Investment Advisors and Branch Offices to sellvarious life insurance concepts directly to their clients and prospects

  • Keeping abreastof market conditions, trends, and changes to legislation and product platformsin an area that is subject to frequent change. This includes analyzing information/trendsand applying it to individual client needs

  • Use yourentrepreneurial skills to achieve revenue targets and ongoing growth to thebusiness

  • Buildrelationships with Investment Advisors, educating and motivating them to assessand evaluate the appropriateness of solutions to meet CIBC Wood Gundy clients'financial and estate planning objectives.

  • Develop andimplement a sales and marketing plan, adjusting as required to meet agreed-upontargets

  • Maintain aportfolio of insurance clients with a focus on financial and estate planning,including an annual review of in-force policies

  • Work withInvestment Advisors, clients and prospects to analyze and identify insuranceneeds using appropriate products, planning methods and tools

  • Develop lifesales jointly with assigned Investment Advisors

  • Consult withInvestment Advisors regarding illustrations, product selection and applicationreviews prior to the completion of sales

  • Participate inseminars for clients and prospects

  • Ensure adherenceto all CIBC Wood Gundy Financial Services policies and procedures, includingmaintenance of complete and accurate files for insurance clients

What We're Looking For

  • Minimumfive years of life insurance sales experience (Whole life, universal life,living benefits) with a proven track record of achievingresults

  • LLQP/LifeInsurance license (including Accident and Sickness) is an asset

  • CertifiedFinancial Planner, Certified Life Underwriter, Canadian Securities Course designationsare an asset

  • Estateplanning and taxation experienceand the ability to deal withhigh new worth clients (Tax minimization, Risk Mitigation, and overall EstatePlanning)

  • Excellentinterpersonal/relationship building skills required to build strong, positive,trusting client relationships

  • Communicationskills: writing skills sufficient to prepare proposals and presentation/seminarmaterials; presentation skills to convey both factual and conceptualinformation and ideas to clients and Investment Advisors

  • Supervisoryskills required to manage staff (i.e. assigned Estate Planning Assistant) is anasset

  • Workingknowledge of PC applications, including financial planning software

  • Workingknowledge of applications used by preferred insurance carriers
