1st Sydney Scouting

Do you like fun? Do you like meeting new friends? how about being in the outdoors? hiking? camping? Learning new skills? how about havng great time while doing all the above? then look no further 1st Sydney Scouting is currently looking for youth members for our 2023-2024 season we meet every wednesday in sydney. beavers ages 5-7 Cubs ages 8-10 Scouts ages 11-14 We offer your chuldren a chance to meet new friends, Learn numerous skills that will help them in there development into adults. Scouts Canada's Mission Statement is "Developing well rounded youth, better prepared for success in the world." I myself come from a family who has been involed with the program for many years. As a second generation scouter, I am a strong believer in this program and what it has to offer to todays youth. in 2020, our group did not operate due to covid 19. this caused the membership to greatly decline. in 2021, 1st Sydney was in danger of colapsing, I immediately stepped up to assume the role of group commisioner and lead scouter for 1st Sydney to help tthe group get back on its feet. by the time January came, the membership for 2021-2022 exceeded the 2020 membership by over 15 youth and continued to grow rapidly. By the time we finished the year, 1st Sydney's membership was over 39 youth members.
