BROKEN / AS IS:
This amp has an intermittent issue where when turning on, the volume (through a speaker cabinet) is low. The issue goes away by power cycling the amplifier, letting it run for some time, or feeding in a large/loud input signal.
Has been working without issue recently, but something to be aware of!
Likely an issue in with one of the JFETs used to switch on / pass the signal between the pre-amp and power amp. Not confirmed that this is the root cause. Schematics for the amp can be found online if you are interested in servicing it yourself.
The text/graphics on the front panel are also starting to scrape off.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
When working, it is a great amp:
200W solid state output, 1 input for guitar and two parallel speaker jack connectors on the back.
4 Ohm minimum load so can handle
- 1x 4/8/16 ohm
- 2x8ohm
- 2x16ohm cabinets.
200W output at 8 Ohms, and 220W at 4 Ohms.
Two channels, clean and overdrive, both with level, bass, middle, treble, reverb controls.
Clean channel has a selectable clean boost.
Gain channel has additional contour knob, voicing switch (mid scoop), and two adjustable gain settings, gain 1 and gain 2 (lots of gain)
Effects loop with send / return level controls on the back.
Line out on the back and headphone out on the front, no cabinet simulation so sounds pretty rough/raw.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Also includes a footswitch and cable, THIS IS NOT THE ORIGINAL FOOTSWITCH FOR THE RH200, BUT HAS BEEN MODIFIED TO WORK WITH IT.
The footswitch controls channel switching between clean/overdrive, clean boost on/off, gain1/2 selection, and reverb on/off for both channels.
