Marshall 6101LM, 100W combo amplifier.

"This 30th Anniversary Amplifier is the most comprehensive valve amp ever built by Marshall". You can't make this stuff up!. It's three separate channels each drive directly into the power amplifier, the same way as in early Marshalls, to provide the maximum amount of natural warmth from the valve powered core."

Channel 1 Clean - the most versatile clean Marshall channel yet produced. Every conceivable Marshall clean sound, from rich and mellow through to the "glassiest" JTM 45 and the fullest warm Super Lead can be found.

Channel 2 Crunch - this channel has 3 sound selections which span across three generations of Marshall. The gain selections allow you to switch from fat creamy vintage blues, to driving hard rock and devastating metal rhythms. Mode A is a low gain, natural valve overdrive reminiscent of an original JTM 45. Mode B is crunchier with the feel and drive of a 1959 Super Lead amp or early Master Volume. Mode C gives high gain drive similar to the JCM 900 master volume amps.

Channel 3 Lead - the ultimate Lead channel! Nuff said!

Power - this is a beast of an amp at 100 watts of raw power. You won't believe the bottom end this little thing can deliver! Not to disappoint you apartment dwellers, the amp comes with a high/low power selection, (high - all 4 valves working or low - 2 valves working). In addition, there is a Pentode/Triode selection switch. "Triode" operation gives half the rated power output. It also produces a smoother tone providing an array of power options from 25 to 50 to 100 watts.

There is also a balanced XLR output for line level speaker emulation for accurate sound reproduction directly through recording equipment or PA.

The rear panel hosts a multitude of options, including loudspeaker outputs, effects loop, (series and parallel), dampening select, uncompensated line output, (for linking to additional amplifiers to extend the system), pre-amp, power amp selectors, MIDI in socket, etc, etc...

This is the Cadillac of amplifiers! It's design will appeal to the home player looking for an array of sounds and options that will keep you busy for hours and hours to the professional player, looking for portability, power options, PA output recording control.

Writing this little sales pitch, has me asking myself why I am selling it? I am starting to second guess the sale myself, but I have enjoyed 15+ years with this amp and felt it was time to move on. I have replaced with Bogner Goldfinger head and cab. More of a boutique amp, but nonetheless a new sound. I currently have my eyes set on a Gibson SG 61 RI or SG CS. If you don't know what these acronyms stand for, don't worry about it, you don't have what I'm looking for. This is the only trade I will consider, so please don't waste your time with other suggestions.

I purchased this amp from Sherwood Music in Kitchener from a baby and am the sole owner. This amp has been home schooled and has never been gigged. I've never really had the luxury to use it to it's full capacity other than to jam with my son and his electric drum kit. This amp is absolutely MINT!!

Comes with original 3 channel footswitch, foldable stand and custom DF2 fitted padded cover.

I am not in a hurry to sell, other than my need to purchase another guitar that my wife won't allow me to buy unless I sell something. So please... no lowball offers. They will politely be ignored.

Thanks,

Jeff
