Order of the Good Time of Nova Scotia - vintage member certificate to W.E. Dickins. The Order of the Good Time of Nova Scotia is the oldest Social Club in North America. It was established in 1606 by Champlain as a way to boost men’s spirits and to ward off scurvy. November of 1606 the first meeting took place. Today the Order of the Good Time is celebrated as a bond between the people of Nova Scotia and visitors to the province. All visitors are entitled to membership as long as they agree to four simple requests: - to have a good time. - to remember us fondly. - to speak of us kindly. - to come back again. Good vintage condition. Nicely framed in a black frame. Certificate is approximately 11 3/4” wide and 9 3/4” long. Frame is approximately 13” wide and 11” long.
