Original Canadian Mixed Media Artwork with Metal Sculpture on Stained Glass, from Kamloops, British Columbia, c2017, 8” x 10”, in excellent condition. The painting represents the meaning of the word Kamloops The word Kamloops is the English translation of the Shuswap word Tk'emlúps, which means “where the rivers meet”, and has been the home of the Tk'emlupsemc, the “people of the confluence”, for centuries. Shuswap is still spoken in the area by members of the Tk'emlúps Indian Band... The South and North Thompson Rivers meet at Kamloops in BC and pour into the Fraser at Lytton. The artist was a woman, & supposedly, the metal was from a piece of an old bridge there. All the above information was from from the original owner.
