History- (from Wikipedia) In 1845, industrialist Peter Cooper obtained a patent for powdered gelatin. Later the formula was sold to a New York-based cough syrup manufacturer, Pearle B. Wait. He added strawberry, raspberry, orange, and lemon flavoring to the powder and named the product Jell-O. Unable to successfully market their concoction, in 1899 the Waits sold the business to a neighbor, Orator Francis Woodward, for $450.

Beginning in 1902, to raise awareness, Woodward placed advertisements in the Ladies' Home Journal proclaiming Jell-O to be "America's Most Famous Dessert." It was only a minor success until 1904, when Woodward sent enormous numbers of salesmen out into the field to distribute free Jell-O cookbooks, a pioneering marketing tactic at the time.

The baby boom saw a significant increase in sales for Jell-O. Young mothers of the time didn't have the same supporting community structures of earlier generations, so marketers were quick to promote easy-to-prepare pre-packaged foods. By this time, creating a Jell-O dessert required nothing more than boiling water, Jell-O and Tupperware molds.

Condition- This ad is in excellent condition and measures 10 ¼ x 14.

You can pick this up in Porters Lake. I do go into northend Halifax once a week during the lunch hour and could meet you there if that is easier.
