    Description

Title- “America’s luxury ham”- the ad shows a platter of ham and eggs in front of a winter scene.

Vintage magazine ads offer a fascinating glimpse of real-life history, an archive of what advertisers thought the world wanted. Ready to frame, matte or laminate, these authentic classic ads can add to the unique decor of your home, business or showroom. My ads are authentic, and carefully cropped from original publications. Come see my Antique Advertising webpage at sessmith.wix.com/antiquead2 .

History- (from Wikipedia) Armour & Company started in Milwaukee and established branches in Chicago and Kansas City. In its early years, Armour sold every kind of consumer product made from animals: not only meats but also glue, oil, fertilizer, hairbrushes, buttons, oleomargarine, and drugs made from slaughterhouse byproducts. Armour operated in an environment without labor unions, health inspections or government regulation. Accidents were commonplace and Armour was notorious for the low pay of its line workers. The company did not become fully unionized until the late 1930s.

Condition- This ad is in excellent condition and measures 10 ¼ x 14.

You can pick this up in Porters Lake. I do go into northend Halifax once a week during the lunch hour and could meet you there if that is easier.
