Sport Magazine, May 1968, Giants Willie Mays Cover
Plenty of great reading in this 1968 issue of Sport Magazine featuring a cover photo of Willie Mays of the San Francisco Giants. There’s also articles on Rick Monday, Al Kaline, Bob Gibson, boxer Jerry Quarry and Bill Veeck’s plan to remodel major league baseball.
Sport was launched in September 1946 by New York-based publisher Macfadden Publications. It pioneered the generous use of color photography. A monthly magazine Sport was published continually August 2000.
This magazine is in excellent condition except for some wrinkles on the back cover.
