Beautiful Colours!

In the 1937 M Watts and Charles Parker purchased the Seal Bros Circus and gave it the new name of Parker and Watts Circus. Parker and Watts inaugural season was in 1938 in which they set upon a 10,002 mile journey visiting 10 states. The circus travelled by caravan rather then by rail and was one of the last circuses to feature a horse-drawn parade. In 1939 a series of mishaps crippled the circus. The shows agent, L.B. Greenshaw ran up expenses and was thus fired from the show. There were disagreement amongst performers and lawsuits over back pay that forced the show to disband for the season. In 1941 the Parker and Watts circus was liquidated.
