About Bobby Orr:
Bobby Orr is widely regarded as the best defenceman in NHL history. He began his career in 1966 with the Boston Bruins. Over a shortened 12 year career due to knee problems, Orr amassed several records and awards. He holds the record for the most points in one NHL season by a defenceman, most assists in one NHL season by a defenceman, highest plus/minus in one NHL season, held the record for most goals in an NHL season by a defenceman from 1971 to 1986, and held the record for the most assists in one NHL season from 1971 to 1981.
Throughout his career Orr won a considerable amount of NHL awards, 17 to be exact. He took home the Calder Memorial Trophy as the top rookie, the James Norris Trophy as the top defenceman 8 times, the Art Ross Trophy as the top scorer 2 times, the Hart Memorial Trophy as the league MVP 3 times, the Conn Smythe Trophy as the playoff MVP 2 times, and the Lester B. Pearson award as the most outstanding player during the regular season one time. Orr played for both the Boston Bruins and Chicago Blackhawks during his career, participating in the All-Star Game 7 times and winning 2 Stanley Cups with the Bruins.

Orr represented Canada on two seperate occasions. The first was during the legendary 1972 Summit Series, where the best Canadian players faced off in a series against the best players from the Soviet Union. The second was the 1976 Canada Cup that saw Canada take the championship and Orr recieve the tournament MVP.
