$80. each, or reduced price for the whole collection.
Antique Asian 19th century, hand-carved wooden architectural elements.
The Foo Dog or Temple Guardian Lions have gold melted over the traditional red bole foundation. They have a very lively expression.
The gold is thick in some places, while showing more wear in some of the other carvings.
They are very intricately carved with great attention to detail.
There are also handmade nails on the back, and bottom, where they were fastened to the wall/ceiling.
I have photographed them with a strong spotlight to show the carving in relief, and the details.
They would make a nice collection, especially if mounted.
One of them still has a traditional sliding peg fastener, in the back, where it was attached to the wall / ceiling.
