HMS Sheffield Framed and Signed by Admiral William Tennant

This is a signed and framed 1947 vintage picture of the H.M.S. Sheffield, British Navy Flagship of the America and West Indies Squadron.

The picture is signed by Vice Admiral Sir William Tennant, K.C.B., C.B.E and M.V.O.

This picture, framed in vintage glass, is in good condition and is dated 1947. It measures 14.75 inches wide and 11.75 inches high. The picture itself measures 11 inches wide and 7 inches high.

William Tennant is famous for masterminding the evacuation of 300,000 men stranded in Dunkirk when France fell to Germany in 1940. In the 2017 film "Dunkirk', the role of William Tennant was played by Irish Actor Sir Kenneth Branagh.

The second H.M.S. Sheffield, not to be confused by this World War Two vessel, was sunk in the Falklands War in 1982.
