Cast French 18th Century Bas Relief Depicting a Draped Cherub
CONDITION: VERY GOOD
This French, rectangular cast bas-relief in the late 18th Century Style features a putto with ribbons at his neck within a group of fruits and their leaves.
A putto (plural putti) is a figure of a human baby or toddler, almost always male, often naked and having wings, found especially in Italian Renaissance and Baroque art.
The finish has been wonderfully aged and distressed.
It can be used as wall hanging, table accessory on a holder or over a door.
Overall in very good condition.
This delightful cast bas-relief measures approximately 6" x 11" inches.
No mark or signature was detected.
