VINTAGE COLEMAN COOLER

This is a 1955 Model 631 cooler made by the Coleman Company. The 631, 632 and 633 were the first coolers that Coleman produced, starting in the mid 1950’s. They all had the famous penguin decal that touts the cooler “Holds the Cold” on the front of the cooler. This cooler is in great condition. The Ice-Green Hammerloid paint finish is in great shape with some scratches from 58 years of use. From the 1955 catalog, the 631 has 1860 cubic inch capacity with inner dimensions of 11 3/8 x 15 x 7 5/8 and outer dimensions of 12 ½ x 16 ½ x 9 (HxWxD). The lid closes and locks well.
