Roy Robson from King City, Ontario, on the southern edge of a land mass of rolling hills dotted with kettle lakes, swamps, marshes, rivers and streams, formed around 12,000 years ago by advancing and retreating glaciers was the home, for a while, of this illusive artist.

The landscape painted here occurs all over this moraine and the natural beauty of the forests, lakes, with its animal life stretch over hundreds of miles.

From having a studio in King City in the 1980's, painting really competent landscapes to disappearing from Ontario completely is part of the mystery of this artist. After finding a small number of his works in local gallery and antique shops very little is known about this artist. His works stand equally well alongside other artists of this time period, D. Hunter (Adams), Pauline Kulha, Matthew Kousal, O.J. Coghlin that it's a great wonder of what happened to him.

The frame has seen better days and the matting around the painting has stains but the artwork is in excellent condition and the colors are bright and clear. It's a lovely piece.
