Cherry Jeffe Huldah (1901-2001) is a listed American painter noted for her women figures of the early 1900's. Her works now are vintage material and are deemed 'shabby chic' and 'cottage'.
The girls she painted are these sweet romantic French lasses wearing rose covered hats sometimes carrying a small Maltese dog and they have these lovely calming eyes. She painted gorgeous Christmas scenes for Hallmark cards, some with the rare appearance of a man. Also a series of beautiful ballerinas.
Huldah is an American artist who loved painting turn of the century fashions. She is listed in Who's Who in American Art, Who's Who of American Women, and the World Who's Who of Women.
She studied at the Art Student's League & Grand Central School in New York City. Wally Findlay Galleries in New York presented her first one-woman show.
Four of her works were purchased by the Duke and Duchess of Windsor. She was represented by New York art dealer and collector Howard Young. And a little trivia here, Huldah paintings have been spotted in the tv show Bewitched.
This print is larger than most. The print is in good condition and the frame is a cream colored vintage original.
