    Description

Hi,I`m searching for my Great Uncle Roderick Alexander Bannatyne`s Memorial Cross.Roddy was Killed in The Battle of Vimy Ridge in France,1917,at age 20.The Memorial Cross was awarded to the Mother and or Widow of a soldier lost in the war.The Memorial Cross measures 1-¼ by 1-¼ inches. On the back of it there would be his rank(Pte),his 1st 2 initials(R.A),his last name,as well as his service number(186514).I`m in the process of compiling framed tributes to all members of the Bannatyne family who served our country during both World Wars. These tributes consist of a photo as well as their respective Battalion badges.Roddy`s Memorial Cross would be the ultimate addition to his tribute.I`m hoping it was given to someone & passed down.It may be a longshot that it still exists, but you never know.It would mean the world to me to find it.If anyone has it and is willing part with it,I would gladly pay proper value for this piece of our family history. Thanks.Shane. Please visit Roddy's Findagrave Memorial. Copy & paste: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=56674183
