This complete set of the six plates issued by the Bradford Exchange and manufactured by Dominion China in 1996 is in mint condition and comes with all original packing boxes, information brochures, and Certificates of Authenticity. Each plate recalls the golden days of hockey, showing each team their original stadium where the games were played, the team's logo, an action scene from a game, the banners indicating the years that each won the Stanley Cup, and an action pose of one of the all-time greats of the team. For example, the Detroit Red Wings plate shows the Detroit Olympia and the great Gordie Howe. As shown in the photos, these plates are fired in brilliant colors, making them an eye-catching display for any hockey fan. Each plate is cast with holes on the back to allow wires to be placed for hanging. Each plate is 8-1/2" x 6-1/4". The back of each plate includes the limited-edition plate number and the seal of the NHL noting that this has been authorized and licensed by the National Hockey League. Each of these plates has a very low limited-edition number, with all plates from the "A" series! The artist for these plates is David Craig, a Canadian hockey and sports artist and illustrator. His love of hockey shows through in the brilliant artwork and the action that captures the intensity of the game of hockey.
