The Position

This is an amazing opportunity for a self-starter and engaged professional with business acumen and a positive and involved team attitude that will lead operational changes and an environment that supports staff development.

The role provides critical support to casino operations in developing and executing strategic, operational and policy initiatives to enhance the effectiveness of the Cage operations and therefore contributing to financial results.

The Cage Manager has full responsibility for the operational, customer and human resource objectives of the Cage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accountable for all areas of the Cage as part of the senior management team of the Casino.
  • Interviews, trains, and develops Cage staff including conducting performance appraisals, administering disciplinary action as required, leading employee meetings, and providing ongoing feedback and support toward the achievements of high levels of performance and customer service.
  • Creates and ensures a fun-filled and exciting work environment where the execution of fast and flawless service is paramount.
  • Manages all cost elements within the department, particularly labour efficiency, to maximize profitability and the customer experience. Establishes and maintains budgets.
  • Manages resources (technical and human) effectively to ensure strategic initiatives are achieved, and customer and business expectations are met. Provides direction to Cage staff as required.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all internal control and regulator policies and procedures are followed at all times within the department.
  • Oversees departmental paperwork including reviewing all monthly reports and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness. Reviews and assesses Shift, Incident, and iTrak reports.
  • Works closely with other Department Managers to steam-line processes, and identify cross-marketing opportunities and casino-wide promotions.
  • Executes strategic initiatives including the revision, creation, and implementation of new processes, policies, and procedures.


What You'll Require

  • Post Secondary education in business or a related field
  • 3 years Casino Cage supervisory work experience
  • 5 years supervisory experience
  • Experience handling large amounts of cash with accuracy
    Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Strong accounting skills
  • Business acumen
  • Demonstrated knowledge of all Cage operations
  • Management/leadership training preferred
  • Ability to field disputes and address in an appropriate and timely manner
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to pull, lift, and push objects up to 30 lbs
