Job Description:Job Description The McNish Steel team is looking for new members, specifically rebar bender operators. We are a family-owned rebar fabrication leader in Edmonton, for over 40 years. Job Description: As a bender operator, you will: - Set-up and operate manual rebar benders, which requires the ability to understand measuring tapes, angle checks and complete physical handling of rebar. - Adhere to shop policies and safety requirements. - Assist in additional shop tasks, when needed. - Ensure your work meets quality standards Requirements: - Be reliable!!! - Understanding of basic math skills - Be able to complete physical work and work in a manufacturing setting, lifting up to 20lbs for extend periods of time - Be familiar with basic hand tools - Have basic computer skills, for machine set-up and for interacting with shop scanning system - Be able to work in a team environment and practice good communication skills - Be able to follow instructions - Be organized and have problem solving mind set Compensation Information - Work hours: 6:00am-2:30pm, Monday to Friday. Overtime as needed during peak season. - Full benefits paid by company after probation period - Matching RRSP plan after 1 year - Competitive salary: Starting at $22.50 for no experience but negotiable based on experience.
