Requirements:
- at least 3 years professional experience
- able to demonstrate familiarity with authentic Thai recipes
- Thai culinary school certificate a plus
- food handler certificate
- able to communicate in English
Skills:
- Prepare authentic Thai dishes from scratch, such as marinades, sauces, soups, salads, vegetables, meat, poultry and seafood dishes
- Create decorative food displays for special events such as fruit carvings
- Train cooks/kitchen help in preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of food
- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
- Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff
- Plan menus
- Maintain kitchen organization and cleanliness
Specific skills:
- Create new recipes for both savoury and sweet menu from scratch is a must
- Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for event
- Train cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation food
