Experienced cook ( chef) for country inn resort in Buckhorn, north of Peterborough.
We are not a restaurant. We are a resort that does all inclusive vacations that include guest room dinner and breakfast.
Breakfast is very brief and served only to overnight guests. Then closed until dinner again mostly to overnight guests staying for a few days, a week, some for only one night. Primarily adult clientele, Mostly couples.
Must be able to cook for groups. Weddings, reunions, conferences, retreats . Up to 100 people. Not often.. But groups of 20 - 30 - 50 - 70 more often. Dine and served at one time.
Most time it is couples with reservations staying at the inn for a few days up to a week. Meals must vary as they are included in the rate.
Open year round. Serving upscale food. Made from scratch, in house.
Home made soup, sauces, dressings, baking, desserts. Cutting sides of beef, lamb rack, pork tenderloin, fillet whole salmon.
Breakfast: Eggs benedict. Omelets, French toast, home fries, pancakes, muffins... fresh fruit plate. Meats....
Grilled beef steak to order. Various seafood , Boneless skinless chicken breast filled with goat cheese, sundried tomato...etc. .
Fresh vegetables... variety a must., Starches, potatoes... roast, scalloped, mash... steamed minis... Rice, pasta. Grains... Quinoa. Lentils...
Knowledge of Vegetarian, Vegan, Gluten Free.
Other resort skills an asset if you wish lots of hours when not busy cooking. Slow times....
