antique barrister bookcase two glass level , gallery top

This oak antique two glass level barrister bookcase, comes an usual gallery top. The gallery top was only made for two years (1898 and 1899) by Macey / Globe Wernicke. Since the bookcase is low, the gallery is built to attractively display items on the top of the bookcase. The bookcase measures 35 1/2" tall and the gallery ADDS another 4 1/2" at its highest point, making the overall hight a total of 40". It is 11 1/2" deep and 34" wide.. Under the base are two curved legs that look great with this piece (see pictures). We have many other antique barrister bookcase restored professionally using a method that preserves the original patina, removes obvious scratches, and seals the overall finish in a clear coat lacquer to preserve the finish over time.
