This knife is so very sharp... you have to be super careful just holding it or touching it.
The average household of 4 to 6 people will be using these knives normally and will not have to sharpen them at all for at least 12 months and they will always cut like a razor -- incredibly sharp knives!

These knives are still made of the same Japanese steel that has been highly esteemed and the blade was actually passed down as a dynastic hidden treasure.

These knives were forged very meticulously and delicately.
Each knife was made of a total of 63 (sixty three) layers of steel. The reason why they don't get dull from normal everyday use is because when the steel would bend sideways (as the knife would become dull), the layer next to the bending layer is not letting it bend, thereby each layer supports the next layer next to it.
Regular knifes get dull within approximately 1 week. Mid-range costing sharp knives (those that cost between $100 and $300 will need to be sharpened within about 3 to 4 months. These knives will not have to be treated or sharpened at all till at least 12 months... and then again in about 12 to 16 months.
