Ultra-light Fishing/Recreational Sit-on-top Kayak

The Eddyline Caribbean 14FS is a 14-foot-long 50 pound (22.7 kgs) sit-on-top kayak made from thermoplastic. I'm in my 60's and can get this boat off the car and carry it to the dock or water's edge.

It is highly stable with an efficient hull that is easy to paddle. I could paddle for extended periods of time without getting tired. It tracks well in wind and waves. It has good primary and secondary stability, making leaning over the side a worry-free action.

The removable frame seat has an adjustable angle back and is very comfortable for long paddling sessions. It provides good back support. There is a spacious watertight front compartment for storage of clothes or other items. There is an access port behind the seat where rods or other long items can be stored.

The rear tankwell has two bungee cords to hold items in place and indents in the floor to help secure either a 5 gallon round bucket or a 13 x 13-inch square crate (for example a YakAttack BlackPak Pro Kayak Fishing Crate). There is a third hull access/storage point at the stern.

There are two handles on either side of the cockpit. The handles are located at the balance point making it easy for lifting or transport, and double up as one-handed paddle parks. The cockpit features adjustable foot braces and dual accessory tracks on the gunwales for mounting any type of gear that you want (for example camera mounts or rod holders). There a newly installed footwell pads in the cockpit area for improved traction.
