Description

rebuilt this truck to be a Lightning clone, has 18" 2000 oem Lightning wheels on with brand new tires. truck is a 6cyl with the manual 5 spd, trans was rebuilt a couple yrs ago with a new clutch and works and shifts well, motor also seems to run well, but is on a limited stay till my 351w is ready, which may not happen now. coil spring/shocks towers both replaced, as where the radius arm mounts, has clean rad support, RF fender and both doors replaced, very nice tailgate, frame cleaned and oiled twice, it seemed to soak up the first oiling completely, passenger floor needed a small patch repair the size of a golf ball, drivers side had a repair I didnt like and cut it all out to weld in a complete floor pan with inner rocker rebuilt. windshield removed to make sure there was no issues behind there, and a brand new windshield installed, brand new headlights. black self etch primer was used on the body, was intending to paint it gloss black when time allowed, but that ship is sailing I think, wanted one of these for a while, this was it, but priorities dictate other plans, it does have the original Alcoa alloys that can go with it for extra. interior redone and clean with a custom canadian license plates headliner installed as the factory one was completely hanging and torn, along with a mint older Alpine deck and pioneer premier speakers for a good system upgrade, was to include a sub box, but I didnt like the way the box fit so that idea is shelved for now. ALL chrome is painted satin black, including grille, the rest flat, has a decent tonneau cover, and many small (my OCD) repairs made, clean and uncracked dash pad colour matched seems to blend well. it also has 3" drop beams in front, with the rear springs front frame mounts also new to drop the rear, this required new shocks so I installed brand new BellTech Nitro II drop shocks, nice ride, it has factory front and rear sway bars installed, and the rear axle upgraded to a code H9 which is a 3:55 with factory limited slip, covers been off for inspection and fresh synthetic and friction modifier added into it. Both rear leaf springs were mismatched so I bought another used set to make a decent re-arched set for the install. has the rare dual tanks option for a short bed, front tank is brand new, rear was new 3 yrs ago, both fuel pumps work well. front coil springs upgraded to heavier units for the v8 swap and 4 wheel alignment done. , also have the v8 engine frame mounts ready to go. box is a southern unit 4 yrs old now and didnt get oiled by the previous owner, rust starting to appear around left wheel arch, otherwise is in very good shape. was to be my continuous project while funds came in, now I feel I must focus on other things, so this is for sale to help with that. I have over 150 hrs in this, so my loss is your gain. don't bother with low ball offers, they will simply be ignored as i just don't have time or emotions to waste on that. if you buy this you will be getting a very solid truck basically ready for your v8 swap, its already set for a small block Ford as the 6cyl and small block v8 share the same transmission bellhousing pattern, anymore questions, just ask. oh, and it has a class 4 hitch, has brand new brakes, rotor, drums, frictions and hard lines. mechanic called me crazy, but these are hard to find in decent shape, as this one is. asking $9800. if you're serious, come down and look and then make an offer, also have most of the wiring needed for a clean and factory like electric trailer brake install using the factory installed harness to the rear. as of Mar4, I have installed a new steering box with a new pressure line, and a brand new rad, i--After doing a little csi on the mileage, when I gave Ford the vin, it turns out this truck was NOT built with a factory tach, which it does have now, so I've really no idea if the mileage indicated is correct or not, a quick look at the uvip package shows one owner where the mileage jumped 100,000 k during his ownership, I did know him when he lived, and he didnt drive this much, so that is suspect, as for proof, I have none, also I think the tach is reading wrong, which would be the case if this is a v8 tach running 6 cyls, it would be off, so that needs to be proved as well. truck doesnt show like it has that high mileage, but that is also my interpretation.
