HEAVY DUTY work truck with HYDRAULIC HOIST.
Absolutely ideal for a small landscaping company or an acreage. Needs tail and head lights to be hooked up.
I had originally purchased this truck for son for a small landscaping business he was trying out and to give him some excellent experience on learning how to fix and work on vehicles. This is a very easy and forgiving truck to diagnosis and repair. Straight six with tons of torque and power and no blow-by. (see Utube video) Strong drive train that is a “bullet proof” design. Hydraulic hoist (after market) under the original box. The springs are easily well over a one ton rating. Large highway truck tires with plenty of load capacity. Antique plates are only $140.00 year.
Manual choke, starts and runs very well. See U-Tube video at: https://youtu.be/NPHWQnVt1xk
Truck is 50 years old and appears to have always been a work truck. So the body has a lot of experience and the floor has rusted out in places. We have installed some patches that work but are not pretty. We didn't cover them up as we would prefer to provide full disclosure. My son has replaced the door hinges ($110.00) , the inside fenders ($260.00), rebuilt the carburetor ($78.00) and we had the rad re-cored ($556.00). The cooling system was flushed and replaced the new antifreeze when we replaced the rad. There is a great bone-yard in Balgonie SK for International truck parts that are very reasonably priced. The truck box was off as we were debating installing a step-side box and replacing the cab in about three years (again very easy to do on a truck of this vintage) therefore the tail lights are not currently hooked up.
Please keep in mind that this is a fifty year old truck so of course its seen use and is rusting out in all the typical locations. The price fairly reflects this.
A mint truck would be well over 25K. The price is $4450.00 or best offer. I am willing to look at full or partial trades. However any trade offers will need to be inciting or interesting. I recommend that you structure and price them realistically. If your looking for a cheap heavy duty dump truck that is easy to work on, send me an email and lets talk.
Did you know that 35% of used vehicles have been in an accident, 37% of vehicles have an outstanding lien (money owed) and 17% of vehicles have been registered in more than one province or country?
