BMW 540I V8

Up for sale is my 98 bmw 540i Car has been a very great commuter/daily driver the past 80k I’ve owned it and have done plenty of work to it in the year and a half I’ve owned it. It has the m62 4.4L v8 5spd auto, very comfortable, quick, luxurious sedan which is surprisingly good on fuel aswell. Currently averaging 10.3L/100km combined mileage. in the summer it’ll do 8-9 down the hwy and get you a little over 700km to a tank always have ran premium fuel

PROS: Tons of options fully loaded car -heated seats and steering wheel -fully adjustable driver and passenger seats with lumbar support -a damn factory cellphone which of course is still there and works! -sunroof -300hp smooth and fuel effiecent v8 -ZERO RUST undercarriage is very clean aswell -plenty of awesome features in the infotainment center on the dash -tons of trunk space and room in the car -NO OIL CONSUMPTION -doesn’t leave oil spill marks in your driveway like most older euros ;) -this engine is a non vanos engine, if you don’t know what it means to simple it up it’s now actually reliable lol

NEW PARTS: -Entire front end. tierods, ball joints, control arms, wishbone arms, sway bar endlinks center steering rack -everything to do with the cooling system has been replaced. Radiator, water pump, valley pan gasket, bell housing coolant gasket, coolant crossover pipes, rear coolant crossover system (don’t recall the name) heater core hoses at firewall. There’s more little gaskets here and there. Everything has been done regarding coolant (parts been replaced throughout the passed 15k ago) -intake manifold gaskets (roughly 6000km ago) -all 8 spark plugs (roughly 6000km ago) -2 new oem coil packs (roughly 8000km ago) -led headlight bulbs -BRAND NEW BATTERY (less then 50km ago) - a few little interior stuff like driver and passenger inside door handles, blower motor and resistor, some wiring with the built in speaker amp -alignment done while front end was installed -new o2 sensors (not installed currently) -there’s more little things here and there do have receipts for most of the stuff, mainly part receipts and the majority of the work has been done myself Currently has 70% winter tires on it Have 2 sets of bmw wheels the ones in pictures which are 17in and some 16 inch wheels that are quite hard on the eyes… lol Car is unmolested (no modifications) beside the exhaust done by the previous owner. Catless, no resonator with an aftermarket muffler. Sounds really good quiet down the hwy with next to no droning and nice barks nice when u give her some throttle -being an older car with the mileage it’s got a few issues For starters, the hood latch in the interior cable snapped last week. 30$ part Being an older bmw of course it has 2 unusable windows both on passenger side Oil pan is sweating not leaking Power steering resivour is very slightly leaking have had to top up only 2 times in my ownership but still is something I should mention. ABS light comes on and off from which I believe the drivers front side speed sensor is busted A few faults come up on the dash I don’t remember them all there is 4 I believe none of them a anything super serious besides “check brake linings” which I’ve looked over 4 damn times and have seen no issue brakes work just fine and doesn’t leak any fluid The thermostat temp sensor is busted At the end of the day it’s an older car from the late 90s so of course it’s not going to be perfect condition. But with no rust no major dings and paint that’s in pretty decent shape that runs excellent, can easily see tons of life left in her.
