2008 FORD F350 CCLB

2008 FORD F-350XL crew cab, long box, 5.4L triton 3V V-8, 2WD, automatic. Bought this truck 3 years ago, it ran great, it just had a new oil pump, timing set, cam phasers. Got it certified, plated, in my name, etc. After about 2 hours it started running rough, then it needed a starter, put on new starter, intermittently ran rough and good, signs pointed to a bad cam phaser, tore engine apart, removed amazon phasers, as they are known to fail after a few hours (read reviews). Replaced with good parts store parts, engine reassembled, runs about the same, possibly a bad VCT solenoid?? $50 or so. I will be exploring a few things further. Body in really nice shape, pretty clean cloth interior, everything passed safety 200.00Km ago, decent tires, has cap (take it or leave it), has C channel rear bumper, this was a hydro truck for most of its life, it needs a license plate light, radio display is on and off, and some minor things, but is still worth the time and effort to be looked at.
