Presenting: Miss Sweet Pea’s Pea Pod Patch Predicament.

Once upon a time (that’s how all good stories begin…just ask your children) there was a girl named Connie who loved gardening. You know her better as Miss Sweet Pea. She loved to dig in the earth and see things grow. It was one of her favourite things to do.

She liked carrots!

She liked beets and beans!

She even liked spinach!! Yuck!!

But the thing she loved the most, and loved above all else, was her sweet, succulent, Peas!

One day Miss Sweet Pea was lovingly tending her Pea Pod Patch. Suddenly, she noticed that although her Pea Pods were growing, some had no Sweet Peas inside them.

“Oh no! What good are Pea Pods if they have no Sweet Peas in them?” she cried. :( It was a classic Pea Pod Patch Predicament!

She looked everywhere! She looked under the porch, in the bushes, over the fence, in the shed and all around the house. She even went to the farmer’s market to inquire, but to no avail.

Then she asked the cat, who naturally looked back at Miss Sweet Pea with an indifferent stare and an even more indifferent “Meeooow!”. The dog was no better. When asked, the dog simply began barking and jumping all about excitedly. He/she obviously expected the leash to be brought out and a walk to ensue! No help there either!

“Oh dear, what shall I do?” cried Miss Sweet Pea.

Being a thoroughly modern girl, Miss Sweet Pea decided to check out the internet. “I’m certain to find some sweet little Peas here that need some TLC!” she said. “Then we will have a full Pea Pod Patch. Perfect!”

You can help Miss Sweet Pea dry her tears and turn her frown upside down. :)

If you have a Sweet Pea for her Pea Pod Patch, then let her know! After all, a "Happily Ever After" ending makes for a good story, don't you think?
