If you complete the mandatory 50-hour PRIVATE INVESTIGATION training course ONLINE at THE ACADEMY OF INVESTIGATIVE STUDIES,you will qualify to write the Ontario P.I. exam and obtain your private investigator licence. We are an accredited training institution and authorized to provide the course to those seeking to enter this versatile, fun, and challenging field. You may start your course of study at ANY time, and complete it at your own schedule.

Your expert instructor has 32 years of experience as a professional private investigator – working undercover, finding missing people, documenting insurance fraud, conducting surveillance, obtaining confessions through interviews, monitoring labour disputes, providing extensive background checks, and much more. Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive a Certificate of Completion as well as an official Training Completion Number (TCN), which will allow them to book their test. Upon passing the test, candidates may then apply for their Ontario private investigator licence.
