Looking for this Dune Buggy

I am searching for the Dune Buggy my father built in the 60s as pictured (although may not look like this any more of course. Last know whereabouts was Ketch Harbour area in 1989. The body was a Manx copy - Irwin I believe (small over indent in front hood area for badge). Unfortunately I don't have the VIN. Body was originally purple metal flake. Chassis was around a 62 Volkswagen Beetle but built around 1968. Not sure what year it was titled as. Some identifying factors that it had at one point: Custom widened steel rear wheels to fit slicks Crager front wheels Hood mounted tach Center hood fuel fill Custom wood center console Duel handle rear e-brake

Hoping to find it to have for me and my son to work on regardless of its current condition. If anyone has any idea to its whereabouts, please let me know.
