Description

This car was originally in the Carolinas and was brought north years ago. The body and overall mechanical condition of the car is great with no holes anywhere. The inside trunk area looks fantastic with the seams on the doors and the deck lid in great condition. The bench seat interior is in good original condition with a couple of tears and is black. The headliner is intact with two tiny tears. The car has the super rare 15” x 7” bolt on Center cap SSIII with Cooper tires that have less than 4,000 miles on them. The wheels were sand blasted and powder coated a few years back and beauty rings will be supplied. A totally rebuilt 455 Olds power plant was put in using Keith Black pistons, new Lunati hydraulic cam & lifters, Mondello All Steel Roller-Tip Adjustable Rocker Arm Systems and Nodular Steel Crank with pilot hole for 4 SPD. A Mellings High-volume oil pump and Mondello 8-quart oil pan provides plenty of lubrication. The cylinder heads have oversize valves and are custom ported and polished. There is a new Edelbrock RPM air gap intake manifold topped off by an 850 AED carburetor. The turbo 400 transmission has been fully rebuilt and has a shift kit on board for nice firm shifts. The rebuilt rear end is an Oldsmobile 12 bolt for 1969 and has a 3:23 positraction gearset on board.

A working wiper motor with proper bolts will be supplied with the car upon the sale. The black dash is in great shape with no cracks and the car comes with a rally sport steering wheel. The vehicle has Edelbrock and KYB shocks and has the upgraded boxed in lower control arms from the factory with the rear sway bar option. The floors and underside of this vehicle are in wonderful shape and clearly shows that most of its life was spent in a southern climate. The brakes are all in great working order with no issues (Front Disc/Rear Drum) and the car stops straight - not in a crooked fashion. The water pump was rebuilt a few years back and has the GM AC clutch fan on it for heavy duty cooling. The four core rad works great as the motor runs at approximately 195 degrees all day long.

The car comes with Mondello headers that are now wrapped to keep the engine bay area cool and a 409 PYPES –X-pipe stainless steel exhaust system has been installed from the collectors right back to the exhaust tips. The 442 rear bumper is relatively new and has never been hit. All hydraulic lines are in good working order with no leaks. All exterior lighting systems work the way they should. The AC system is presently not working but could easily be brought back if you wish. The car runs and drives like a dream and has no apparent issues. The oil is changed on a regular basis and the motor has plenty of compression.

This car has been well sorted out and is ready for someone else to enjoy now. It’s unusual to come across a vehicle like this in a northern climate that is in such terrific shape. Circumstances have now changed in my life and as such, it is time to hand the keys to someone else to enjoy. Please take the time to have a look at this car as you will not be disappointed!
