1985 Mercedes 500SEC

Selling my 1985 Mercedes 500 SEC after 4 years of great driving. Priorities change and I need to get an all season daily driver for my 18 year old son. Florida car so very very little rust. 70K miles She’s been my daily driver for 4 years, except when roads are full of salt or slippery. Not perfect but she’s never failed me in 4 years or driving. I changed out radio last year and my guess is I didn’t properly ground. Occasionally blows the radio fuse and if you don’t drive for a week or so, will drain battery. I drive almost daily so not an issue and I keep on trickle charger anyway. (included). Passenger seat has a small tear that’s poorly repaired. Front passenger caliper sometimes sticks but if used regularly not an issue and easy replacement. If cold, sometimes she’ll lag on gas pedal on takeoff, until engine warms up. Never an issue in summer. Air conditioning can be a bit hit or miss, but I’ve never had it flushed and refilled which I guess should resolve. Clock stopped working about a month ago. Like I said, not perfect but fully perfect would cost you a lot more. Hagerty values this car in good condition at $24,000… I’d put this car at good condition. Currently has summer tires. Pads and rotors changed about 10,000 klms ago max. New fuel pump, drive belt, lowering springs, shocks, plugs distributor and wires a couple years ago. $11,000 and some room to haggle at this price, but keep in mind it’s already 1/2 of Hagerty value. Currently insured through haggerty insurance for under $300 year. Local sale only. This is a near 40 year old car that’s never been a trailer queen. She’s been used. You need to see in person before buying. I once flew to ON to look at a car. She was as described but seeing in person changed my mind. I flew back home disappointed and money wasted.
