Geotechnical Technician

Job Description:Job Description ABOUT THE ROLE Main duty is determination of flow and particle properties of a wide range of bulk solids:Managing inward and forward samples;Sample preparation;Perform various bulk solid testing as per J&J’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOP);Provide feedback to lab manager and engineers regarding any issues encountered during testing;General laboratory housekeeping duties. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Only those who meet all selection criteria below will be considered for this important role.Education: minimum high school diploma is required, degree or diploma (or equivalent) in mechanical related field is preferred;Computer software skills using Office (e.g. Word, Excel), email and messaging and have capacity to learn specialized software for data entry/analysis;Ability to lift weights 30-40 lb. regularly, up to 50 lb. (23 kg) occasionally;Physically able to wear a respirator when warranted.
