Production/Parts Manager

Duties & Responsibilities

The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the production process, scheduling work, maintain quality control, complying with all OSHA and EPA regulations and handling parts procurement.

* Provide management presence on the floor

* Oversee work in-process

* Maintain company standards of quality and safety

* Maintain profit standards and efficiency standards for all production related departments

* Assign work to the appropriate technicians talking into consideration ability, workload and fair distribution

* Make sure that all standard vehicles are disassembled and a repair plan is written within 24 hours

* Verify that all parts are received necessary to complete each repair

* Assist technicians in establishing daily work priorities

* Monitor quality control process as vehicle moves through production stages

* Perform final quality control on each vehicle before delivery

* Assist in problem solving for any repair process, refinish process, or parts issues

* Maintain close supervision of sublet vendors' quality, pricing, and delivery times.

* Production Manager responsible for placing all parts orders (including supplements)

* Parts orders are to be placed from the management system no later than one hour of wiring the repair plan

* Able to print the master parts list and place the list in the corresponding RO plastic envelope on the cart

* Able to receive and return parts, manage inventory of parts.

Experience, skills and training

5 Years or more Auto Body Shop management or similar management experience

Familiar with Word processing software, Spreadsheet software, Inventory control software

Completion of high school
