Job Description:Job Description We are currently seeking an experienced and skilled Welder for our client in Newmarket, ON. As a Welder, you will be responsible for performing various welding techniques to fabricate and assemble metal components according to specifications. Responsibilities:Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols to determine project requirements.Set up welding equipment and select appropriate welding methods, materials, and techniques based on project specifications.Operate manual and automated welding equipment, including MIG, TIG, and stick welders, to join metal components accurately and efficiently.Perform welding tasks in various positions, including flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead, while ensuring proper weld penetration, strength, and appearance.Inspect welded joints and workpieces for defects, such as cracks, porosity, and incomplete fusion, and make necessary repairs or adjustments to meet quality standards.Follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents, injuries, and damage to equipment, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintaining a clean and organized work area.Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and other departments to coordinate workflow, troubleshoot issues, and ensure project deadlines are met.Complete documentation, such as welding logs, inspection reports, and material certifications, accurately and in a timely manner. Qualifications:Proven experience as a Welder, with proficiency in various welding processes and techniques.Certification or formal training in welding from a recognized institution or apprenticeship program preferred.Strong knowledge of welding principles, metallurgy, and fabrication techniques.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.Familiarity with welding equipment and tools, including MIG, TIG, and stick welders, as well as oxy-acetylene torches and plasma cutters.Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.Excellent hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and spatial awareness.Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.Physical stamina and strength to perform welding tasks in various positions and environments.
