Are you Aboriginal (Metis, First Nations, Non Status, Inuit) and interested in Apprenticeship Trades?
If so, Gabriel Dumont Institute Training & Employment is now holding Information Sessions for our Aboriginal Apprenticeship Project
We are looking to enhance Aboriginal participation in apprenticeship and trade related employment, we help Aboriginal people find employers willing to train and provide support throughout the program.
-Job coaching, essential skills training and follow-up provided to the apprentice
-Above average wages
-Support for the apprentice through to journeyperson status
-Improved job security
-Assistance with indenturing process and associated costs
-Subsidy of up to 50% of the apprentices wages for employer
Commitment to the trade and a strong work ethic is required.
*Must be a Saskatchewan resident to qualify
Date: Information sessions are held every Thursday
Time: 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Location: 308-120 Smith Street East, Yorkton, SK.
