Solid Mahogany 1850 Empire settee. Fully recovered including back which is a solid piece of Mahogany showing the hand sawing marks when settee was made. The settee still has the original horse hair . The Mahogany used is from North American trees which were eventually used up.
Settee is 173 years old. Alot if history. It has the Empire simplicity with a lovey trim on the front. There is a decorative part added on the top which was dine to keep in style as the Victorian Era came after this settee was made and was an ornate period. The settee has original wheels on feet. Very well taken care of and in a room seldom used.
Size: 76" long arm to arm 23 " deep by 36" tall tip of ornate.
