Client of mine called me this fall and said if you want my bike come get it. And off to BC to she went.. I don't care what anybody says: the straight upright I-can-see-everything style of dutch bikes can't be beat for the city. My client had me perform a "dutch transplant' on the bike a few years ago. Plus extra fat tires specifically to avoid getting caught in streetcar tracks.

Fenders and rack included. I tuned it up. Ready to go.

The brake pads have little wear, closer to new. The chain has the very beginning of stretch, a 16th of an inch over a 10 inch span. It does not skip on forceful test pedalling. The teeth on the back and front cogs are still high and sharp. The only possible drawback (which I don't consider it to be because I have my own bike this way) is that It has 6 speeds. Right (back) shifter only. The front derailleur was fixed into middle gear long ago. They're selling many new city bikes with 3 or 5 speeds.

I operate a mobile bike repair business. I work at several farmer's markets around Toronto on a regular basis. All bikes I sell are given to me freely by customers and neighbours. They are simply broken and unwanted. I fix them up and sell them here. I like giving bikes a new life plus I need to make a living. It's kinda perfect.
