Sarabi is an ~3-4 year old German shepherd mix available for adoption through Taffy's Legacy Canine Rescue and Rehabilitation and is only about 45 pounds! If you are interested in adopting this very special girl please email: email@example.com to request an application.
Sarabi mainly socializes with her foster momma as she is working on building up trust/rapport with people. She has met friends/relative who have come to visit. Sarabi socializes with the canine and feline residents on a daily basis as well. Although Sarabi is not crate trained, she can be trusted in a home on her own. Sarabi is great with other dogs, she loves their company; however, she can be easily frightened if a dog is barking. She would do best with another quiet and calm dog. She has not been around children, but would likely do best in a child free environment as she scares/startles easily. A home with older, respectful and dog savy children may be okay. Sarabi is just super shy and nervous, and requires socialization to work on her trust with humans. Sarabi is such a sweet, gentle dog with a calm disposition. She would do best in a quiet home with someone who has time to work on developing a rapport with her and continuing to develop her trust of people. Sarabi would enjoy a securely fenced yard where she can run around and play fetch. Sarabi luvs her trail walks in the conservation and gets so excited when it is time to go.
Sarabi is excited at the prospect of one day finding her very own furever family to love her and her wish list includes:
1.A quiet home without children as sudden movements and loud noises scare her.
2. Someone with a lot of patience and time to commit to help her continue building up her confidence as she is very skittish around people
3. A calm, confident canine companion would be really nice, but not a must.
4. A fenced yard
5. Someone who is looking for a super gentle dog with a wonderfully sweet disposition
Things you should know about buying or adopting a pet
While pet sellers can be reputable individuals or breeders who treat their animals well, the ease of selling pets over the Internet also makes it attractive to careless, irresponsible breeders and scammers. To protect yourself, you must be careful and believe only what you see and not what you are told. It is highly recommended to arrange for an inspection of the home where the pets are bred. This allows you to check that the mother and other animals are living in suitable conditions, being well cared for, and are in good health.
Remember that the Kijiji Pets section is NOT intended to facilitate uncontrolled breeding, irresponsible commercial pet trading, trade of dogs or any other animal for the purpose of fighting or stud services. Any ads that are suspected of promoting this kind of activity or reported to us will be removed. Users are responsible for adhering to the applicable conditions in relation to adopting, buying, selling or listing of an ad on Kijiji.
Kijiji encourages, where possible, the adoption of pets and encourages all pet owners to have their animals spayed or neutered as well as microchipped.
When looking for a pet, it is important to meet the breeder or seller and examine the pet before agreeing to anything. Since Kijiji is local to your community, this should be easy to arrange. Never adopt/buy a pet from someone who is unwilling to let you see how and where the animal is living!
