Kingsley is still patiently waiting for her forever family! Her presently family would love for a pre-approved applicant to come to their home and meet Kingsley. While breed specific knowledge is not a requirement of adoption it would benefit a potential adopter to read up on the GSG and Lab characteristics and behaviours. This information can be viewed on the Canadian Kennel Club website.
Life has a way of catching both families and canines off guard. Sometimes, dogs simply require an adult home. This is the case with Kinglsey, a lovely two year old Lab/Shepherd mix.
Kingsley's family has kindly prepared her bio which we will share with a potential adopter. You may use the link below to connect with us, or text: 519 878 3974 for a status update.
The following adoption policies will apply:
Adoption Process - All adoptions begin with the completion and submission of our application. Please note, that the placement of dogs entrusted into our care our number one priority.
Applicants are carefully screened for suitability and compatibility and must demonstrate that they are prepared, fully and unconditionally to care for the dog they wish to adopt. Upon receipt of your application a Placement Coordinator will contact you to review your application, further explain our adoption process, answer all your questions and connect you with an Adoption Coordinator who will facilitate your adoption.
A home visit, the signing of an adoption agreement and the payment of an assigned adoption donation will complete the adoption process.
Things you should know about buying or adopting a pet
While pet sellers can be reputable individuals or breeders who treat their animals well, the ease of selling pets over the Internet also makes it attractive to careless, irresponsible breeders and scammers. To protect yourself, you must be careful and believe only what you see and not what you are told. It is highly recommended to arrange for an inspection of the home where the pets are bred. This allows you to check that the mother and other animals are living in suitable conditions, being well cared for, and are in good health.
Remember that the Kijiji Pets section is NOT intended to facilitate uncontrolled breeding, irresponsible commercial pet trading, trade of dogs or any other animal for the purpose of fighting or stud services. Any ads that are suspected of promoting this kind of activity or reported to us will be removed. Users are responsible for adhering to the applicable conditions in relation to adopting, buying, selling or listing of an ad on Kijiji.
Kijiji encourages, where possible, the adoption of pets and encourages all pet owners to have their animals spayed or neutered as well as microchipped.
When looking for a pet, it is important to meet the breeder or seller and examine the pet before agreeing to anything. Since Kijiji is local to your community, this should be easy to arrange. Never adopt/buy a pet from someone who is unwilling to let you see how and where the animal is living!
