Once I found this snare and heard it? Had to have one. Then I bought another one just in case. Since then I've been collecting quite a few bronze and brass snares. Then I had two of these and this was the nicer of the two which I kept. I sold one when I needed some extra $, but decided to keep this one.
All laquer on bronze is intact. Throwoff is upgraded professional quick release kind. New puresound snare wires. Only the head isn't new, and I love the way this sounds with these heads on it. On the bottom is a 70's ultrathin Tama Resonant head and this snare has VOLUME if you crack it. But it's also super sensitive. I'm moving and some of the stuff I normally wouldn't sell is up for grabs if the right person comes along. Please no low ballers. They don't make the snares like this and cheaper ones which aren't hand hammered cost more than this. If you want to hear it come and try it out, you won't be disappointed. I sold one of these a year ago, after I found the first one, I bought another because I liked it so much. Pick it up soon before I change my mind.
VIDEO UPDATE: Took it out busking downtown with a friend who was visiting from Saskatoon and we got some great footage. You could hear this snare from miles away, around hotels and down the docks from this video.
