The VW 06E906517A Evap Purge Valve is a common failure item in 2.0 and 2.5L VW products, causing difficult starting. Its failure can be expedited by overfilling the gas tank, causing back flush of carbon media from emission canisters into the purge valve. This clogs the purge valve.
