WHY IS CUSTOM TUNING BETTER THEN A PROGRAMMER?
A program or tuner or “chip” is limited to flashing a few changes into your ECM or computer. Its limited to whatever tune the manufacturer loaded. The tune in there has no idea anything about your truck, where you live or your driving habbits. The main reason we get to know our customers so well is that we need to know how the truck will be used, what climate, how it is cared for, the driving style as well as expectations for drivability.
With a custom tune the sky is the limit with our high end calibration equipment we can re-engineer the vehicle from the ground up. Our tunes and operating systems are designed from the ground up in house. Newer engine computers have literally billions of lines of code that control everything about the way your vehicle runs and drives.
What work must be done in order to run delete tuning?
At minimum you must remove the DPF, removal of the cat and nox is also advised, a turbo back exhaust will perform best with nice low EGTs (exhaust gas temperature) and better mileage
I dont want my truck to be loud, is there options?
Yes theres lots of different options from nearly as quiet as stock to as loud as you wish, a basic delete only slightly increases exhaust sound
Do I have to remove The EGR?
No, the EGR is Deleted Electronically, there is no need or gain in physically removing it, that was a seperate issue in the ford 6.0 diesels
What If I were To Emissions test my truck?
DPF Delete is for non emissions areas only (93% of canada) However if you were to test your Cummins it passes on the 2nd test for under 4500kg, Over 4500KG test Passes first time, ALL OTHERS PASS AS NORMAL
I currently have a tuner, what do I do with it?
If you have a tuner you could unlock it by returning to stock and sell since you dont need it anymore, if you have some kind of gauge monitor you can still use it as a monitor, any OBD Monitor will work with our tuning,
Can I use a Monitor?
Yes you can use any OBD monitor or gauges of any kind with our tuning.
With variable tuning you get you power mileage and towing tunes all in 1 with no hassle of switching or having the wrong tune on.
It measures trailer weight by using calculated torque and the hundreds of on board sensors recording data in real time. Once measured it adjusts to the exact weight of the trailer. This happens in roughly ¼ mile of driving
For mileage it uses highway timers avg throttle and many others to decide fueling and shifting, this allows for you to drive the truck nicely and get unheard of mileage numbers.
For power it simply measures how Aggressive you are with the throttle, it can calculate how fast your foot moves on the throttle also. It can then predict wide open throttle or a passing situation.
This way there no chance of a switch failing on the wrong setting, it also takes all the guess work out. Simply drive and let the extremely smart computer switch faster then you ever could
