Does your horse need stall rest? Does he require specialty care for a recent or long- term injury? Evergreen Hills has options to suit you and your horse’s needs!
Evergreen hills farm is a small, quiet horse stable located approximately 15 minutes west of Edmonton. Set on ten acres of gently rolling hills with abundant trees, Evergreen hills is a horse haven.
While small, the heated barn features four stalls of various sizes, all with rubber mat flooring. The feed room features both communal bins for common feedstuffs and smaller bins for specialty feeds. Tack lockers have saddle racks and bridle hooks, and are easily locked. The spacious loft offers additional storage space, as well as a viewing deck overlooking the arena.
The arena measure approximately 20 m x 40 m, and has an attached round pen. Currently, the footing in the arena is mixed sand/grass. Some jump equipment, ground poles, and barrels are available.
All fencing is wooden post and rail or metal post and rod, no barbed wire. Some of the pastures also have electrical wire running over the rails to deter chewing. All pastures are large and grassy, with trees for protection in addition to the shelters, and have automatic, heated waterers. Quality round bales are fed to horses in the group pens, square bales to the horses in private pens.
Our farrier visits on both a 6 week and 9 week rotation. Catch and hold for the farrier is included in the price of board, as is catch and hold for the vet whenever possible.
Custom indoor board begins at $500, and includes:
- Custom feed program, including hay and grain fed at least twice daily (free choice water, and salt; hay can be fed in a slow-feed net if preferred)
- Stall in the barn, cleaned daily and bedded with wood shavings
