Inspired by the legacy of George Genereux, an esteemed gold medal Olympic athlete, this unique competition combines athleticism with environmental stewardship, inviting participants to explore the park's diverse landscape while celebrating the beauty of trees.

Activities:

Tree Identification Challenge: Embark on a captivating journey through the park's lush landscape as you participate in the Tree Identification Challenge. Reminiscent of Genereux's competitive spirit, we will navigate designated trails together equipped with a checklist and/or digital resources accessible via smartphone. As we walk through the afforestation area, we will take the time to correctly identify various tree species in a fun friendly competition, testing our botanical knowledge and discovering the rich diversity of trees that call George Genereux Park home.

Guided Nature and Heritage Walks: Join knowledgeable historians and researchers on guided nature and heritage walks, delving into the park's fascinating history, flora, fauna, and ecological significance.
